ABOUT LISA NORMAN
INTRODUCTION
Lisa is a visual artist with a focus on drawing and painting. Residing between Nashville, US and Sydney, Australia, Lisa’s work is deeply informed by both classical techniques and her personal life experiences. She strives to express the subtly of emotion, the abstract movement of form, and the symbolism of the human figure and still life. She continues to explore new methods and to challenge herself with every project. She strives to inspire viewers by sharing her intimate interpretations of life.
ARTISTIC STUDIES
Lisa studied Fine Arts at Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney and is currently advancing her craft at the Grand Central Atelier in New York. Here, she has participated in advanced drawing and painting courses under renowned instructors, Devin Cecil-Wishing and Jon Brogie.
ACHIEVEMENTS
A passionate learner, Lisa has taken numerous specialized workshops across the US, collaborating with celebrated artists such as Alicia Ponzio (sculpture), Jim Himsworth (drawing and painting), Darren Kingsely (drawing), Oliver Sin (charcoal) and Todd Casey (painting). These experiences have greatly influenced her artistic development and broadened her mastery of various mediums and techniques, including charcoal, painting, and sculpture.
